Emme

Emme has blue eyes just like her dad! We always get comments from people about how much she looks just like her dad. Emme has joined our family perfectly, we never think of her as different...except that she is our little miracle. We love Emme more than anything, life has never been better.

Not only has Emme been a joy for us, she is adored and loved by her cousins.
On Court's side of the family everyone has loved having a little baby around. I am not sure what cousin is most excited...but Maya, Elle, Hannah, and Madi sure do beg to hold her anytime she is around. They can't wait until she is old enough to run and play around with them.
On B's side of the family, Emme will have plenty of cousins to play with. Emme was one of three little ones to join the family within five weeks! She is in the middle, first Brooklyn, then Emme and two short weeks later Carter joined the gang. Along with all the little babies, Ava, Emme's cousin that is three adores her. She loves to hold, kiss, and hug Emme. She shares her princesses with her and can't wait for her to dress up as a princess with her.

1st Halloween

My 1st Halloween...
I enjoyed being a cute pink skelton and was small enough to fit inside a pumpkin!
I also enjoyed carving pumpkins at Grandma and Grandpa K's house, an annual tradition.
Thanks Dad for helping me carve my pumpkin.

My First Plane Ride

1st plane ride...
I had to work in Wisconsin just before Emme was two months old and wasn't ready to leave her home with her Dad. So instead they joined me. Emme was perfect on the plane and everyone around us just kept telling us how adorable she is! Yes, we know, she is perfect.
While in Wisconsin Dad took her to the Zoo, we went and walked around the lake front, and just enjoyed time together.

Blog Frustrations

So, I don't know if I just can't blog, but my pictures and text always look different when I publish from when I preview my post before I publish...so, enjoy but don't look to closley at the format. If I spent time getting that right I would never get anything posted. Do tell if you have ways to make it easier...

LOTOJA

Logan, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. 3 States, 206 miles, 1 day. The ultimate race.

One of my favorite traditions in the Bills' Family. The Saturday after Labor Day each year we spend driving from town to town providing support to Steve and any other brave soul in the family that rides. This year, Brandon and I were riding as a relay with Casandra and Nick. Brandon's stage was from Afton, Wy to Alpine, Wy...about 40 miles. Court's stage from Alpline to Teton Village, about 50 miles. No problem most years, but since the bikes had only been out once since little Emme arrived, we were happy to see finish line.
It was great, when I was switching Brandon, I had Emme in the baby bourne, and people were amazed that I had a one month old and I was riding! I let them think I was amazing...they didn't need to know that I didn't give birth one month ago. I have though spent many sleepless nights with Emme, so it counts right? It was nice to have the added cheering by those spectators that thought I had just given birth, I needed it this year.
It was a lot of fun to have Susie get on the tandem the last leg with Steve as we went up the canyon. Steve joined the 1000 mile club this year, (or was given the award this year) as he completed his 6th LOTOJA. Pretty amazing.
We were glad that Jen, Andrew, Ava, and Carter joined us for the fun. Talk about amazing, Jen came and Carter was only a couple weeks old, and she did give birth! :)

Two Week Pictures

Here are just a few of our favorite pictures from Emme's two week photo shoot. Guess she has filled all our spare time, it has taken us a while to get them posted. She has been the greatest blessing in our lives, we love her. She is loved by so many, we are glad she is home with us.

Waterfall Canyon

Waterfall Canyon

A favorite hike of my families. It was a beautiful day for a hike. Emme and I went with Jen, Andrew, Ava, and Carter.
Emme all bundled up, doing what she does best...sleeping during the day!

Power water...Ava had to drink the water from the camel back, it was different than the water bottle! :) She is such a cutie, she nearly hiked the entire way. Although with about a quarter mile left she feel dead asleep on her dad's shoulder.
Me, Emme, and Ava resting at the top.

Jen with Carter, only a few weeks old.

Hospital Pictures

Our hospital experience, an experience that can't be described with words, but filled with love, the spirit, sadness, joy, tears, and feelings of gratitude. A memorable time that Brandon and I were able to spend with little Emme, moments of joy that will never be forgotten, and a deep feeling of gratitude for Kayla, Kayla's mom Kathy, and Ryan, the birth father. We know we have been truly blessed, that the Lord watches over us and all his children, and that He answers prayers. Emme is an answer to our prayers. Welcome to our family little one, we love you.

Kayla, the birth mom, with us the day of placement.
What a courageous women she is.
Kayla and her mom, strong women.

Tour of Utah

One thing Brandon and I promised each other was that after we had kids we would continue to do the things that we loved and our kids would come along. We love spending time together, outside, and going to a bike race was a perfect activity. Emme was 5 days old, she was perfect. We had a the perfect spot up Cottonwood Canyon as we cheered the riders to the finsih after a long day on the bike.
Jen, my sister-in-law, found the perfect bike outfit.

Livestrong..this is a kid size braclet...she has a little growing to do!
She slept through the most exciting part.
